About Us

Honeybush Natural Products is a subsidiary of Rooibos Ltd and has been in operation since 1997. In the early days of the Honeybush industry, with plants being largely wild-harvested, Rooibos Ltd recognised the need for establishing planting, production and processing methods which would ensure the long-term sustainability of this fledgling industry. As such, they established Honeybush Natural Products in the Langkloof – the heart of the Honeybush production area. Here, they cultivate Honeybush for commercial production and provide primary processing at source.

As Honeybush is also a uniquely South African product with many of the same health benefits as Rooibos, Rooibos Ltd had identified Honeybush as a natural extension of our existing product range. Honeybush has slotted seamlessly into the Rooibos Ltd stable of products, with Honeybush Natural Products providing processing of Honeybush at source in the Langkloof, for worldwide distribution through Rooibos Ltd (www.rooibosltd.co.za).
